Please feel free to contact your child at any point during their stay at Frontier Ranch. We will be glad to get a message to them and have them return your call as soon as possible.

You can:
  • Send an email to your camper
  • Call the office (719-395-4111) and leave a message
  • Send them some snail mail addressed as follows:

Camper Name - "Camper" & Dates at Camp

PO Box 2025

22150 CR 322

Buena Vista, CO 81211

Please keep in mind that it can take 2-3 days longer than estimated to arrive at campIf items are being shipped to the post office, please add 2-3 days for your item to actually arrive at camp. IMPORTANT: if the company says they don't deliver to a PO Box, please add #2025 to the top line (some mail still gets routed through the local Post Office). Also, UPS/FedEx may say that the above address cannot be found - ask them to override the system and leave it as listed (our local drivers know how to find us!). If mail arrives after the recipient has left camp, it will be returned to sender.

The weather at Frontier Ranch generally is great! However, temperature and conditions can change quickly, so encourage your child to be prepared. Late Spring and Summer provide beautiful days in the 70's-80's but may become chilly at night. Random rainstorms are not uncommon so a rainjacket is helpful! Check current weather conditions in Buena Vista for the most accurate, up-to-date information.

Frontier Ranch is located approximately eight miles outside of Buena Vista, CO. Detailed directions are available here.

Young Life and Frontier Ranch maintain the highest level of safety and standards in operation of all of our activities at camp.

All of Frontier Ranch's challenge course elements (ropes course, screamer and rappelling) are inspected and approved by The Association of Challenge Course Technology and by Signature Research, Inc. All elements are operated and supervised by our staff who have been fully trained and certified to do so, ensuring your child's comfort and safety.
Frontier Ranch's Horse program is also facilitated by trained and experienced staff. Your child will be in good hands while at Frontier Ranch. In the event of an unexpected accident, there is always a qualified medical professional on call to tend to your child's needs. Licensed Child Care Facility

Frontier Ranch is a Young Life camp that is licensed by the Colorado Department of Human Services. The license indicates that the program has met the required standards for the operation of a childcare facility. If you wish to do so, you may ask to see the license and the last facility inspection.

As a licensed facility, Frontier Ranch makes every effort to provide a safe and healthy environment for adolescents. As part of the licensing provisions, Colorado Law requires that child care providers report all known or suspected cases of child abuse or neglect. If you believe that your child has been abused you should seek immediate assistance from your county Department of Social Services. The telephone number in Chaffee County, Colorado is 719-395-0344.

The state of Colorado requires a specific immunization form from all of our campers.  Please use this form to turn in your child's immunization history.
Young Life’s desire is to make every effort to cooperate with the State of Colorado and to ensure that your camper has a great week at Frontier Ranch. For additional information regarding licensing, or if you have concerns about a child care facility, or you would like to review a licensed facilities file please consult the Colorado Division of Child Care at 1575 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203-1714 or at 303-866-5958.
